About this seminar

This will be a practical day focused at training anaesthetists in simple hypnotic techniques which can be used with patients in typical anaesthetic practice.  The techniques will be taught by colleagues who are also experienced practitioners of hypnosis and delegates will be given ample time to practise these techniques in small groups with full support from the faculty.  The techniques will focus primarily on anxiety management and pain management in anaesthetic practice with suggestions on effective language and other communications to use in particular situations. No previous experience of hypnosis in required but some pre-course reading will be provided and delegates without any previous experience of hypnosis may want to familiarise themselves with some of the material.
