This monthly webinar takes place between 6 and 7.30pm.

We have three contributors, Ann Williamson, Lina Morton and Rory McGill, who will describe how they utilise hypnosis and imagery in their work with depressed patients.

Ann will give a short overview of depression and some management strategies.

Lina will present a case study of Adam,  a 35-year-old man  presented with depression:
“I have been struggling a lot for over a decade and I’ve gotten to the point where I can no longer simply sit and take medication and hope everything will simply be OK.  I have had numerous pills and even took counselling once and `I don’t think it did much.” Adam decided to see me after a conversation with his GP. I take the view that depression is a reaction to an individual’s life rather than the product of dysfunctional brain processes for which drugs are prescribed.  There is no single treatment or set of treatments that I apply to the complexity and individual nature of people’s difficulties. I help Adam  to address his  specific biopsychosocial difficulties by integrating appropriate models of therapy which may include hypnosis.

Rory will also present cases and describe his approach to managing depression.
