Event Details
Join us for this event which promises to appeal to everyone with interests in the power of medical communication as it relates the fascinating history of Hypnosis, and its journey from the stage into the clinical settings. The potential use of ‘clinical hypnosis’ has been overlooked, and yet it is now re-emerging as a powerful asset for both clinicians and their patients, and examples of this will be presented. We forget at our own peril the lessons this evidence shows; communication skills and human connection remain core to our impact and success as healthcare professionals, and evolving to utilise adjuvant clinical hypnosis will help us all.
This event will be split into a morning and afternoon session and provide historic perspectives on Hypnosis from an era prior to anaesthetic drugs, and how it has influenced our consciousness from the mystical to the more contemporary evidence-based settings within Anaesthesia, General Practice, Oncology, and Gastro-intestinal medicine today.
You are welcome to book either the morning session, afternoon session or both.
BSCAH members will be sent a code via mailing list to give them 40% off this event
Date: 15th April 2024.
