We have one main presenter, Andrew Armatas, and the session is hosted by Bruce Grimley.

Aim: The aim of this webinar is to explore how hypnosis can be applied in coaching psychology.

Learning Objectives:

1. To understand why hypnotic strategies are well-suited for integration into coaching psychology, and to recognize the need to distinguish coaching hypnosis from clinical hypnosis.

2. To discuss specific hypnotic strategies used in coaching contexts.

3. To explore the key distinctions of applying hypnosis in coaching settings, particularly within business environments.

About This Webinar:

This webinar introduces the concept of coaching hypnosis and its applications beyond clinical practice. It will explore how hypnosis can be utilized in coaching contexts, drawing on personal experience, and highlighting the unique considerations when working in coaching settings, especially within business environments.

Andrew Armatas is a founding member of the International Society for Coaching Psychology and has been an accredited member of BSCAH and ISH since 2000. After completing his postgraduate studies in clinical psychology at the University of Hartford (US), he earned a postgraduate diploma in clinical hypnosis from the University of Sheffield. As a university lecturer, he teaches health coaching to established health professionals and coaching skills to Master’s students in health promotion. In 2009, he coined the term “coaching hypnosis” and has since been active in both clinical and coaching contexts. He is the author of Brief Strategic Coaching, published by Open University Press.
