This monthly webinar takes place between 6 and 7.30pm.

This month we have Antonio Allegretta presenting a process involving hypnotic techniques, CBT and coaching, which he has developed over the last ten years. This approach has successfully treated fibromyalgia with long-term recovery, even when pharmacological treatments have proved ineffective.

Fibromyalgia syndrome (FMS) is a long-term condition that consists of a pervasive set of unexplained physical symptoms with widespread pain (involving at least 3 of 4 body quadrants and axials) of at least 3 months duration and point tenderness at 9 bilateral locations. Patients with FMS report a set of symptoms, functional limitations, and psychological dysfunctions, including persistent fatigue, sleep disturbance, muscle stiffness, restless legs, headaches, depression and anxiety, and irritable bowel disorders. Patients also report cognitive impairment and general malaise, called “fibro fog.” (Turk, 2009) Current research has shown evident relationships between FMS and stress, PTSD, depressive disorders, attachment disorders or traumas; and EMDR therapy has been shown to be effective in the treatment of patients with FMS (Kavakci, Ö. et alt. 2012).

Antonio will present a detailed process involving hypnotic techniques, CBT and Coaching, explaining its rationale, supporting each step from the scientific literature.
